About the Cupping Experience
One room - totally designed only for public Cupping Sessions. Now our customers can come and experience what goes on behind the scenes in all coffee buying operations the world over, enjoying a full tasting session and learning about the background and processing of the coffees on the table. It is one experience every coffee drinker should do at least once in a lifetime.
What is Cupping? Cupping is a basic method of tasting coffee which is standard across the world. Whether it be Guatemala, Canada, Indonesia, London, Mexico, Kenya - everyone uses this same procedure which is almost a ritual. 5oz of water at 92 degrees is added to 10g of coffee coarsely ground. The coffee then steeps for 5 minutes and then the grinds removed- and the coffee is ready to be analyzed.
In our sessions customers will be able to taste at least five coffees of distinction and see the differences between regions and processing methods.
The cost is $30.00 per person including a take home pack of coffee from the selection on the tasting table.
Each session runs for approximately 45 minutes with a maximum of 8 people per session in NSW, 6 per session in QLD and 5 per session in VIC. If you are interested in larger group bookings, please contact us directly.
