Certainly reason to celebrate! The day was amazing, with balloons, a rocking Jazz band (The Sydney Jazz Collective), free cake, and the whole Campos family dropping by to enjoy the party. My favourite part of the day: Being able to stop service at 10:00am and see everyone raise their cups/ glasses/ cupcakes in a toast to the finest team on the planet. We had not stopped mid-service since there was a fire in the shop 9 years ago! We raised our glasses and sang a round of cheers for the baristas and service crew who fly the Campos Coffee flag with all their hearts.
And right at the end of the "Hip hip hoorays", the jazz band broke into that classic "Oh when the saints go marching in.." with a classic New Orleans style brivado. Very very cool! Could not have been any more appropriate!
This day will be one I'll never forget. I wish I could sing and cheer for all the baristas every day, but this will have to do for now.
Thank you Campos Nation for this unreal and improbable journey which started 10 years ago. Here we go for many more and I have never been more energized. Still feels like the first day much of the time - full of electricity and knowing we still have so much farther to go.
Here are some pics from the day. Love and respect to our customers, our producers, and our team here in Australia.
